February 25, 2008- Due to past freezes, the field is temporarily out of production. We hope to resume picking and selling sometime in March.

January 25, 2008- We are now selling at several farmer's markets, however early in the season we are very dependent on the weather. If it gets too cold we may have to cover the field to protect the crop and as a result may not be able to pick for the market. We will try to keep this updated to let you know were we will be each week.

Wednesday May 30, 2007 - Strawberry picking is finished for this season. The last day for peaches will be Friday June 1. We had a good season and appreciate everyone who came out to see us. We hope you all have a great summer.

Tuesday May 22, 2007 - LAST CHANCE FOR PEACHES!! Our season is drawing to a close and this will be our last weekend to be open. It will be a great week and weekend for peaches. We will have three different varieties ready for picking. The Tex Star variety is a small yellow fleshed semi-freestone. The Tropic Snow is a medium-large white fleshed freestone, and the Gulf Prince is a small yellow non-melting flesh clingstone. The Gulf Prince is a great canning peach, but is also wonderful for fresh eating as it has a very distinctive flavor. We hope you get to come try our peaches.

Tuesday May 15, 2007 - Peaches are now ready to pick. They taste and smell wonderful. I love the smell of a fresh tree ripe peach. We should have peaches through the month of May. Remember we are closed on Mondays and open Tuesday-Saturday 8:30-5:30 and Sunday 1:00-5:00.

Tuesday April 24, 2007 - We were picked really hard this last weekend and there just aren't that many new strawberries coming on to take their place. We will continue to have some berries through May, but we strongly recommend that you call and check on the picking situation before you drive out.

Friday April 20, 2007 - The strawberry crop has now passed its peak and will be diminishing between now and mid-May. The size of the berries is getting smaller but they are still very sweet and flavorful. If you are thinking about coming out on Saturday you should plan on coming early in the day to have the best picking.

Thursday April 5, 2007 - The patch is a sea of red. The plants are loaded with sweet, red, ripe strawberries. This is the best picking we have seen all season. If you are thinking of coming this weekend we will be open Friday and Saturday from 8:30 - 5:30, but will be closed Easter Sunday. For those wondering, we will not be open on Monday.  We want to wish all of you a blessed Easter!

Saturday March 31- Can anyone say "RAIN?" We have had a lot of it. As a result we are closed today, but will be open Sunday at 1:00. The weather is supposed to be good and we have a great supply of strawberries. So bring your old shoes and come enjoy a Sunday afternoon with us.

For those wondering about Easter weekend, we will be open Good Friday and Saturday, but will be closed on Sunday. It looks like we will have a tremendous amount of berries for you to pick. The plants are loaded and really coming on with ripe strawberries. Hope to see you soon!

Thursday March 22, 2007 -  Berries, berries, berries, what a difference a week makes. We have plenty of large, sweet, beautiful strawberries to pick. The grounds are looking good, the wildflowers are blooming, and the weather has been beautiful, so bring a picnic and come spend some time on the farm.

Thursday March 15, 2007 - Things are looking up! By this weekend we should have a pretty good amount of berries to pick, but by next Tuesday we should be rolling in them once again. We survived the last freeze with minimal damage and we are very pleased with the amount of blooms and berries that are on the plants. We feel like there is going to be some great strawberry picking in the weeks ahead. We look forward to seeing you at the farm!

Thursday March 1, 2007 - We have a dilemma...normally by March 1, we are rolling along with lots of red ripe strawberries. However, the freeze on Feb. 16 froze the flowers that should be the berries we would be picking now. The plants have many new blooms and young green fruit that will be ready to pick in about 3 weeks. We apologize for the delay, but we can't control the weather. We will post an update when we have plenty of strawberries to pick.

Friday February 23, 2007 - For those of you who have been waiting we are now open for the season with our regular hours. Remember we are closed on Mondays. We have a lot of beautiful strawberries to pick. The cold wet weather in January and most of February did damage some strawberries, but we are working hard to get the field cleaned up. If there is a chance for rain on the day you want to come, you might want to call ahead to check conditions at the farm. See you at the farm!

Monday Feb. 12, 2007 -  It is almost that time again. We will be opening for the 2007 season in the next week or so. I'm sorry I can't give you a definite date. We are completely weather dependent. As it is supposed to get cold again this week, on Tuesday or Wednesday we may have to once again cover the strawberries up to protect them.  As soon as the weather cooperates, we will open for business. We do have a lot of berries right now, but the weather just won't allow us to open yet. There are just some things beyond our control and the weather is the main one. I will try to keep you informed about the current conditions. We look forward to seeing those of you who have visited us in the past and to meeting new strawberry lovers too. We love being able to share our passion for growing things with those who love to eat them.

Monday May 22, 2006 - The 2006 season has come to an end. Thanks to our customers for making this our best season yet. We had a lot of fun, but look forward to taking a break this summer. In September we will start getting the field ready for the 2007 season. Hope to see you in 2007!

Monday May 15, 2006 - We have had a great season and have enjoyed seeing a lot of new faces this year. Thank you and a big thanks to all our loyal return customers. Without you we could not keep doing what we are doing. But all good things must come to an end and our end is near. This will be our last week to be open for the 2006 season. We still have strawberries and should have peaches through Sunday. If you plan on coming out Sunday for peaches, give us a call first. They have been flying off the trees so fast that I am having a hard time getting any in the freezer for my jam. Thanks again!

Monday May 8, 2006 - Thanks to all the people who have come out! We started selling peaches on April 28th and the Florida King and Tex King varieties are finished. Tex Star and Gulf Prince varieties should be available this weekend.  There will be no peaches to sell until this weekend. However, the blackberries are now available and we still have our delicious strawberries. Remember, it is best to call to check on produce availibity before driving out. It is getting hotter, so don't forget your sunscreen and a hat. Looking forward to seeing you at the farm!

Friday April 28, 2006 - PEACHES ARE READY!!! Wow, we are about two week early, but the peaches say lets get going. So we are. Starting today you can come pick your own peaches. If you have never picked a fresh tree ripened peach, you are in for a treat. Peaches should last through the month of May.

We still have plenty of strawberries too. They should last a couple more weeks. So if you haven't had a chance to come, now is a good time to get both. For those wondering about blackberries, we are still a week or so away. They are a little behind because of the freeze in February.

Tuesday April 18, 2006 - We hope you all had a blessed Easter. We enjoyed our day off and so did the strawberries. They had two days to recuperate and they are eager to be picked. We have a good supply and this should be a good week to come visit. This hot weather won't be doing us any favors, but it is supposed to be cooler starting tomorrow. Of course cooler is a relative term. 85 degrees is now cooler!
Hope to see you at the farm!
